Ginger and Pebbles should be one hour into their Malaysia Airlines flight bound for Kuala Lumpur, as I type! (It is 15:45PM now) The girls started the day with their usual AM walk around the neighbourhood. Then it was home for an early breakfast of raw beef and chicken wings. Around 9:30AM they had one more toilet break and then it was off to the airport. More precisely HACTL Super Terminal 1 at the Hong Kong International Airport, which is seriously "super". It's HUGE!

It was really noisy, dusty and full of trucks and lorries driving in and out so I was really glad George and I were together.

There was a bit of confusion at Hactl - we'd driven into the secure area without realising there was no going back out without new paperwork so when we wanted to take the girls out for a last wee before locking up the crates, the guards wouldn't let us! After a little back and forth, George and I were finally able to take Ginger and Pebbles for a quick wee near the carpark lot.

When that was done, we locked them up and took them to another area where they were "received", weighed and then pushed into an air-conditioned holding room to wait. We said a quick goodbye and then the staff locked up the doors to the room. This was at 12:00PM. It will be several hours before I hear of them this evening!

We did as much to make them comfortable so they should be alright. I lined their crates with thick newspaper and three towels each. Ginger even got a shirt I wore last night! And I topped up their frozen water bottles with more cold water before leaving. But that's about all I could do.

I'm counting the hours.
