Ginger and Pebbles visit Pet World
One Stella too many can land you in the dog house, as George discovered. So lucky us! He passed on a golf outing and we all got to spend the morning at Pet World!
Pet World is like a large playground for dogs in the outskirts of New Territories. It has 2 swimming pools, a barbeque and dining area, a large play lawn, agility lawn, shower and dryer area for the furballs and a change area for humans. All this just 30 minutes away from downtown Central! What a find! What a gem!

"What do you think our humans are up to?"
First thing's first: Sign in, get fitted for a life vest if you haven't done the doggy paddle before (Ginger "S", Pebbles "XS"), grab some towels and it's off to the play lawn to wait until you get called for your pool time.

Ginger taking her first dip
At 11:00, Ginger and Pebbles had their first pool experience with Daddy's hands-on guidance (literally) and lots of encouragement from Mummy on the side. (It helps to wear swim trunks for the "hands-on" bit!)
While Ginger proved to be a natural water furbaby, bobbing for the tennis ball and even "rescuing" George when he cried out from the middle of the pool: "Help me, Ginger! Help meeee!", Pebbles, unfortunately, seemed rather stressed out. Not even the water version of her favourite ball game could coax her to give it a go on her own. Oh dear!

"Get me outta here! Fast!"
Although Pet World's main draw is the two ample sized pooch pools, there are lots of things to keep a dog busy aside from swimming. There's frisbee on the lawn, going to the back of the registration office and checking out the office furniture, poo-ing in the office, begging for treats from other dog owners, peeing on every available spot and getting yourself dirty again after a bath. What a fun place! We're all set for Ginger and Pebbles' first summer in Hong Kong.

Water furbabies (Actually ONE official Water Baby and the other a "Work in Progress")
